Speculators reduced net bearish positions in 10-year Treasury note
FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), speculators reduced their overall bearish positions in 10-year treasury note futures last week for the third straight week.
The non-commercial futures contracts of US 10-year treasury note futures witnessed a weekly change of 2,304 contracts to total a net position of -83,534 contracts during the reporting time period - May 19th to May 26th. Weekly bullish positions fell by 6,812 contracts combined with an decline in the weekly bearish positions by 9,116 contracts.
Meanwhile, over the reporting time period, the yield on the 10-Year treasury note edged lower from 2.27% to 2.14%.
