Gold sits near monthly lows on Fed rate hike outlook

Gold extends its recent run of losses in Asia and remains near fresh monthly lows reached near 1132.50 levels on Monday on growing expectations that the Fed will hike interest rates this December.

RBA keeps rates unchanged at 2%, scope for further easing

In what was a close call, the RBA has decided to keep its interest rate unchanged at 2%, with the policy statement interpreted as dovish, noting "members also observed that the outlook for inflation may afford scope for further easing of policy, should that be appropriate to lend support to demand.
