US stocks finish the week higher
FXStreet (Córdoba) - US stocks closed mixed on Thursday amid low liquidity, booking gains for the holiday-shortened week helped by oil’s comeback.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 50.44 points, or 0.29%, to 17,552.17 and finished the week up2.5%. The S&P 500 fell 3.32 points, or 0.16%, to 2,060.97, posting a2.8%weekly gain. The Nasdaq Composite rose 2 points, or 0.05%, to 5,048.49 and posted a 2.6% gain over the week.
The US stock market closed at 18:00 GMT on Thursday and will stay closed on Friday for Christmas Day.
