AUD/JPY rises after 370-pip slump
FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The AUD/JPY recovered ground on Monday and managed to finished far from the lows and above 89.50. After falling at the beginning of the week to 88.43 the pair gained momentum and turned to the upside.
During Monday the AUD/JPY climbed to levels on top of 90.00 but failed to hold and pulled back finding support at 89.10, closing the day at 89.78 with a gain of 80 pips approximately that followed a decline of 370 pips in the previous two trading days.
AUD/JPY loosing upside momentum early in Asia
Stock in Japan opened lower removing momentum to the Aussie and strengthening the Yen. The Nikkei is falling 0.25% in the first minutes, after plunging yesterday 2.51%.
At the moment of writing the AUD/JPY was trading at 89.62, down 0.19% for the day so far.
