Spanish Ministry of Economy Proposes Pablo Hernández de Cos as next head of Bank of Spain

The Spanish Ministry of Economy will propose Pablo Hernández de Cos, the current director general of Economy and Statistics, as the next Governor for the Bank of Spain. If approved, Pablo Hernández de Cos will be replacing Luis María Linde, whose six-year term expires on June 8.

"The election of the governor and deputy governor of the central bank is usually agreed between the party in power and the main opposition group, but the dialogue between the PP and the PSOE is broken after the Socialists announced last Friday a motion of no confidence to overthrow to Mariano Rajoy," Reuters reports.
