China CNY Trade Balance misses expectations, declines further to 144 billion

China's Trade Balance (in CNY terms) printed far below expectations, coming in at 144 billion Yuan versus the 192.276 billion market call, with the previous reading at 179.75 billion.

Key highlights

The off-kilter Trade Balance forecast is owed primarily to a big swing in the annualized Imports for September (also in CNY) of 14.1%, fat above the 2,6% forecast with the last reading at 18.8%, while CNY-based Exports slumped down to 6.5% (forecast 10.4%, previous 7.9%).
